Description

This 19th century Russian icon is a depiction of the Lord's Prayer, filled with small vignettes illustrating each line of the prayer.

The icon's original inscriptions were in Church Slavonic, but we have painstakingly recreated them in English for accessible reading.

    Lettering

Posted by Patricia Schultz on Apr 24th 2021

I just received this icon and it is beautiful but I am a little disappointed with the visibility of the line "Give us this day our daily bread." I know the place where it is written and thought it wasn't there at all. That is how faint it is. This icon is unique and I still recommend it but wanted future buyers to be aware of that. It is the only part keeping it from a 5 star review. ----- Legacy Icons response: The icon is a faithful reproduction of the original, but we could work to tweak this element. Thanks for the feedback!
