This icon depicts the many saints who shone forth at Mount Sinai and in the surrounding desert. Saint Catherine, the patron of the monastery at Mount Sinai, stands at the center of the fathers at the bottom; the prophet Moses stands at the top, receiving the Law from God; the Theotokos "Burning Bush" is in the center of the icon.
The saints of Mount Sinai are commemorated on Bright Wednesday.

A Great and Interesting Icon
I got this in large and I am very happy with the end result and it is very well made and detailed. I am no sure it would be a good idea to buy this in a larger size though unless you are planning to hang it up high because I am not sure the details would be as clear if the image is stretched out. A suggestion for this would be to have outer paint the same gold colour as the outer layer of the icon rather than the normal red, that way it would be almost like having the original in your hand!
