Saint Lucy (or Lucia) of Syracuse in Sicily, was a martyr for the Faith under the persecution of Diocletian. She suffered in the early 4th century, at about the age of 20, after she refused to marry a pagan suitor. Her feast is celebrated on December 13, and she is regarded as a patron saint of eyesight and of the blind.
Helpful staff and high-quality icons

I am a Roman Catholic with a love for Orthodox icons. I recently found out about Legacy Icons and had to check them out. I stopped by their location unannounced, and the staff was very welcoming. They allowed me to look around and answered my questions about an icon of St. Lucy for our daughter Lucy. Later, I went to their very well-designed website and ordered the icon. I'm very satisfied with its quality, and it now has a treasured place in our prayer corner at home. Thank you, Legacy Icons!
