The Prophetologion ("Book of the Prophets") contains the full collection of Old Testament books and readings as read liturgically in the Orthodox Church. It is an excellent companion to the Holy Gospel and Holy Apostle (Epistle) books. It uses the Greek Septuagint ("LXX") Old Testament, the scripture used by the Apostles and the early Christians, and by the Orthodox Church today.
Designed for both private reading and liturgical use, The Prophetologion contains an extensive, Pan-Orthodox calendar of liturgical readings; the complete complement of Prokeimenon verses; detailed instructions for use; a complete table of moveable dates through the year 2100; translation notes and footnotes; and more. Four ribbon bookmarks make use easy.
Attention to design is important to this project. The Prophetologion features beautiful black-and-red printing and gorgeous full-page iconography and ornamentation. Complete with a handsome foil-stamped, cloth-bound hardcover, it is a dignified and holy book worthy of the sacred history and writings of our Faith contained within.
Translation
This is a revised version of the 1844 Brenton Septuagint, produced in-house at Saint Ignatius Orthodox Press. The Brenton text was checked verse by verse against a variety of Orthodox liturgical texts, edited for accuracy and variants used in the Orthodox texts, and brought up to a formal modern style of English that compliments the English/Greek Orthodox Bible (EOB) text used in the Holy Gospel and Holy Apostle.

Orthodox OT Lectionary
A beautiful lectionary, long-needed and will be a superb addition to the parish resources. It will be used well during Lent. The font is a bit small but understandably so for the size.

A BEAUTIFUL AND GENUINE PIECE OF CHRISTIAN HISTORY
A genuine piece of history: by combining the Septuagint text with orthodox liturgy; this is an excellent addition to any serious library. And the foil insert on the cover is beautiful. I prefer the Septuagint; it is the scripture used during Christ’s ministry; so, this is a beautiful book to treasure. 5 stars easily.
