    Beautiful well-made icon

Posted by Vincent. on Mar 7th 2017

I purchased this icon as a gift for my wife after the birth of our twins John Damian and James Cosmas. Early in the pregnancy we learned of complication that threatened their lives. We relied on the intercession of saints Damian and Cosmas among others to see us through this which they did. Although I am a latin rite Catholic, I could think of no better way to honor those saints and my wife for her saintly perseverance through the pregnancy than by giving her an icon of those saints. (I have an affinity for eastern art and icons.) When I started researching icons I found Legacy Icons and after watching their video on how they make the icons and read about the high quality materials they use I was convinced they offered the best and most well-made icons. It was made and shipped quickly and once I opened it I knew I made the correct choice. I could quickly see the quality in the joinery of the wood and the quality of the print as soon it was opened. The icon is now in my boys' NICU room and will come home with them. Thank you Legacy Icons.
