Saint Patrick was a 5th century missionary and bishop in Ireland, and he is the foremost patron saint of that country. His feast is celebrated on March 17 by Christians all around the world.
In the icon, he is vested as a bishop. He holds the Gospel in one hand and a shamrock leaf in the other. The clover is traditionally considered a symbol of the Trinity and is closely associated with the saint.

Awesome.
As with all of the products on this page the quality is outstanding. Also, I am of Irish decent and am fairly new to Orthodoxy. It is great that there are such amazing Saints to admire from the East, but having Icons of Saints that I share a history and heritage with adds a level of awe to my worship as these Saints from over 1000 years ago first brought Christ to my people, and how I am connected to and a benefactor of their work.

Well-made, and very good customer service!
Fr. Cooney was very happy with the St. Patrick icon he received. It was sent quickly and wrapped well, also. Thank you!

Saint Patrick
In July I began my new assignment as the administrator of St. Patrick Parish in Parnell. I wanted to get an icon of St. Patrick for the beautiful rectory. The icon is a wonderful addition to my new home.

My Very Own Patron Saint! St.Patrick
I am Irish on my Grandmom's side and my birthday is really March 17th! So when I entered The Roman Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil of 2014, choosing St. Patrick as my new name during the celebration of the Easter Vigil Mass and finding This Awesome Icon of my patron saint was just Cool, to say the least. I love each Icon I have purchased from Legacy Icons...so far 3. I plan on ordering more in the future, for all kinds of celebrations in life. This icon and the others I have purchased illustrates Great Stories of the Folks who have come before all of us. Each Icon portrays the individual and yet covers the centuries of time and space. Just adore the Icons and allow The Holy Spirit to continue to open your heart and mind, that has the ability to bring these images to Life and what they continue to teach us is that we are not alone on this side of Heaven.
