Truly Pine, First Needles, then Log
While slow to get going, this incense produces a beautiful scent that is true to its name. You can envision walking through a pine forest with this incense burning: hear the wind whishing through the canopy, feel the soft prick of pine needles. After the initial scent of sweet smelling pine needles, this incense develops into the smell of a burning log (after about 2-3 minutes of burning). All the while, the quantity of smoke is remarkably good. As with some other similar styles of incense, a small black piece of coal will be left over after a granule is done smoking. If you want the sweet smell of pine without the burning smell of log afterward, look at Legacy Icon's "Valaam" option.

My New Favorite!
I LOVE this incense! When I opened the jar and breathed in the aroma, I was instantly transported to a monastery I used to frequent. The monastery used a lot of wood in its construction and it smelled very similar to this incense. When I burned it, it gave off a very faint sweet pine fragrance. However, as it charred, the aroma deepened to something like burning pine logs. It smelled so amazing, I had a hard time focusing on my prayer!
