Description

This beautiful Orthodox Wall Cross is hand-crafted in our own Legacy Icons Wood Shop. At 8x12 inches (20x30 cm), this Cross makes a perfect centerpiece for your home icon corner, or any location.

Although it is popularly associated with Russian Orthodoxy in particular, the Three-Bar Cross is actually an Orthodox monastic symbol, being depicted most prominently on the Great Schema worn by senior monks and nuns of all Orthodox backgrounds. It is a symbol of the Lord's Passion, as well as His self-emptying love that all Christians seek to emulate.

Each Cross is then hand-polished with our own in-house beeswax-shellac finish. Includes a hook for hanging.

Also available in other wood species.
