Indescribably wonderful!
But I will try to describe it. If you can imagine a fruity, woody, earthy smell, that might be about right, but the wonderful fragrance is difficult to describe. There's one negative review that talks about charcoal. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I burn my incense in one of Legacy's "smokeless" incense burners that uses a candle. I prefer this to the charcoal briquettes.

Steady Smoke, Fleeting Fragrance
I tried this beautifully colored incense for the first time on the memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Initially, the fragrance was sweet and floral, akin to the "Holy Virgin Mary" incense also sold by Legacy Icons. However, before long, the fragrance was replaced by a standard "smokey" smell, though the incense continued to produce a billowing and thick cloud of incense for a medium-to-short duration (about 5 minutes for the small amount I placed on the coal). I'll have to give this incense another test to determine whether it was just my nose that wasn't smelling the incense or if the fragrance is weak in this incense.
