Description
The Washing of the Feet occurred in John's Gospel (13:2-17) at the Last Supper before the Lord’s Passion. In this event, he as the Master washes the feet of his servants, the Disciples. It is commemorated each Holy Week in Orthodox Churches typically on Holy Wednesday or Thursday and depicts Christ's humility and his reminder of how Christians, particularly leaders, are to treat one another.
A high-quality reproduction handcrafted in Legacy Icons' Michigan woodshop, this icon is available in multiple sizes and is a perfect addition to a parish wall or home prayer corner.
