Ideal especially for Sunday Schools! In early December, why not teach about this favorite Saint, while re-enacting the custom that has survived the ages — have the children place their shoes outside the Sunday School room door. After the class has learned about Saint Nicholas, they can go out to discover that he has "visited" them, leaving a coin behind! This custom endures to this day in memory of the Saint's merciful gift of the dowry for three young maidens, saving them from a life of poverty.
This small gift will make a large impact on a young child, while making the life of the Church and her calendar of Saints a part of everyday life.
Packages
Our Saint Nicholas Chocolate Coins are available in several packages for use in different settings:
- Family Pack: Includes 6 coins and an icon card of Saint Nicholas. Ideal for use in family settings.
- Group Packs: Include 10 coins, and optionally 10 icon cards. Ideal for use in small groups, such as Sunday school classes.
- Church Packs: Include 25 or 50 coins, and optionally 25 or 50 icon cards. Ideal for use in larger Sunday school settings or for church events.
The Saint Nicholas icon cards (included in certain packages as noted) feature a multi-paneled icon with scenes from Saint Nicholas's life. On the back, there is a traditional children's song to Saint Nicholas, which can be learned and sung in families and Sunday schools around December 6, the feast of Saint Nicholas.
Our Saint Nicholas coins are gluten-free. They are produced in a nut-free facility in the Netherlands. As they are not produced in the United States, they are not FDA-certified as nut-free. Our icons are hand-crafted and made-to-order. Allow time for production. Please note that your chosen shipping method does not include production time. (For example, if you select 2 day shipping, your order will be delivered 2 days after it ships, not 2 days after the order is placed.)
