Icon Corner Shelf

Anchor your home prayer corner with a gorgeous corner shelf, hand-crafted at Legacy Icons in our very own wood shop!

Made from rich, locally-sourced Cherry hardwood, the beautiful floating-style shelf hangs securely in the corner of the room, holding your precious icons and holy items, displaying them for prayer and veneration. The "IC ‚ò¶ XC" carving comes standard, representing the name of Jesus Christ and His Cross.

You can also opt to include a smaller companion shelf to place above the first (or even hang it in a different room), to hold a smaller icon.

Traditionally, this kind of icon shelf is hung at or above eye level, in an eastern corner, so the icon can be seen from anywhere in the room. It could also be hung low enough for access to the icons (though care should be taken with young children). The thoughtfully-designed shelf has tolerances so it can even be hung in rooms without perfectly square walls.

The larger shelf is 12x12 inches (30x30 cm), and the smaller shelf is 8x8 inches (20x20 cm). Hanging hardware is included, with illustrated installation instructions.
