Such a wonderful Icon
I ordered three of the 'Icon of the Nativity' for each of my small group people. We are a group of 'Protestants' who are studying Orthodoxy with a comparison / contrast method of inquiry. These were their very first icons and they absolutely loved them! Every icon I have purchased from Legacy Icons to date have exceeded my expectations. To see the faces of my friends all light up from receiving their first icon - and helping them understand a fuller expression of the Faith this Advent season was such a blessing. Church of the Nativity Icon
While the main focus of this Icon is wonderful, what I did not notice online was the decapitated figure in the upper right corner which distracts from the whole icon. I shall have to create an oval frame of sorts (with paint probably) to correct this awful mistake. [Legacy Icons response: This icon is a detail view from a larger icon, the entirety of which we do not have access to. Part of this lettering is cropped off, as shown in the image, but we would not characterize this as a "mistake."]

Church of the Nativity Icon
The Nativity, which is the main emphasis of the icon, is vivid and beautiful. I do have a problem with the decapitated figure in the upper left hand corner which one doesn't notice online but definitely when studying the icon in hand (shall have to get my brushes & paints out). incredibly beautiful!
I bought this to give to my new godson, who received Chrismation on Christmas Eve. I thought the colors were stunning. The expressions of the Panayia and Joseph draw the observer into a sacred moment frozen in time. My godson loves it!

Beautiful Icon
This was a wonderful addition to our feastday icons. I am so glad to have found it. This icon embodies the Peace and Love of the Christmas season! Beautiful colors, looks just like the picture online.
