While there are many sources for printed icons, Legacy Icons is uniquely focused on creating true museum-quality reproductions of historic icons. From our founding, we have focused on historic iconography from Byzantine, Russian, Slavic, and other Orthodox iconographic traditions.
Legacy Icons grew out of Survivor Quest, the nonprofit organization started by our founder, David DeJonge. As Survivor Quest's mission was to tell the stories of eyewitnesses of significant world events, Legacy Icons carries on the spirit of that mission to present the artifacts of our Orthodox Faith. This highlights the solid and unbroken chain that connects us today to the apostolic foundations of the Church.
We don't just sell icons, we tell and carry on the stories of our Faith: the stories of the icons themselves, and the stories of those who are depicted within them.
