The Great Martyr Barbara was a secret Christian in the late 3rd century. Her father, Dioscorus, was a pagan. She courageously proclaimed the mystery of the Holy Trinity to her father, which infuriated him. When she refused to renounce her faith, he subjected her to brutal tortures, and finally beheaded her with his own hands.
Countless miracles occurred in the place where Barbara proclaimed the faith to her father. She is counted as one of the greatest Martyrs. Her feast is universally celebrated on December 4.

I've purchased many icons from Legacy. Each and every experience has been outstanding in every way. The materials used are of the highest quality; the craftsmanship is excellent. The service around purchasing is always easy, and my questions have always been answered quickly. This most recent purchase of St. Barbara was no exception--an outstanding icon, packed with care, and received very quickly--as always!
