This beautiful icon is a duplication of the original, painted by a Bulgarian iconographer in 2015. It is very similar to the prototype, although the sharp-eyed viewer will note the more traditional Byzantine style of this icon, especially in the faces.
Also known as "Theotokos of the Passion," the Perpetual Help icon has quite a storied past, stretching back to the time before the Great Schism. The original has been housed at the Church of Saint Alphonsus in Rome for centuries, under the protection of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, or the Redemptorists.

I have yet to receive an icon of anything less than the highest quality from Legacy Icons. This icon is simply beautiful.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase this icon from Legacy Icons. This will be the only place I will go for future icons

I just received this icon, and it is even more beautiful in person. I also truly appreciate the high standard of quality that I have come expect from Legacy Icons.
