  True Vine

  While this is a beautiful icon, I agree with a few of the other reviews on two points: Namely, it isn’t quite as vibrant as it appears in the photos, and secondly, the icon is printed on a fairly thick, slightly textured paper, which makes the image look almost pixelated in a sense, so it’s not as clear as I would have hoped, and in my opinion makes it look a little unprofessional. Not my intention here to say it’s a bad icon, but it just wasn’t quite as I had anticipated! Maybe my standards are just too high however! Either way, Glory to God and most other reviews are entirely positive.

  This is a beautiful Icon. I bought the 8x10 size. I could probably only suggest the clarity be enhanced a bit. Otherwise it’s beautiful.

  Windows into heaven

  I am a Roman Catholic and I pray with and through icons. The first time I encountered icons, I was on retreat. I bought a few icons and had my husband put them up, and I exclaimed: "These are windows into heaven!" I now have many reproductions of icons, and one written icon. This "I am the Vine" icon is truly in a class by itself. It visually calls out to follow the Lord. The colors are vivid and the figures are meticulously drawn. The icon wonderfully reflects what Christ said, "I am the vine, and you are the branches." Visually, He seamlessly flows out of the Tree of Life. Each branch leads to, and wraps around, an Apostle, creating the sense each Apostle is the fruit of that branch, and, by extension, of Christ. The strong roots of the Tree/Christ nourish the fruit/Apostles, as Christ nourishes us, and is the source of our life. The image beautifully conveys we cannot live without Him. Physically, the icon is extremely well made, from high quality wood. It is impeccably finished, with vibrant colors. I am thrilled with this icon, and I've already bought additional copies to give as gifts. I am so happy to have discovered this site.

  vivid colors

  i have always admired this particular icon when I saw it in other peoples homes. I was so happy to receive this particular version from Legacy Icons. It is unique and the colors leap out at you. The quality is excellent. I am looking forward to purchasing more icons from here in the future.

  Beautiful Icon!!!

  This is an incredibly beautiful icon of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Disciples. We ordered it to display during the Fast of the Apostles. Great quality product as usual and wonderfully written icon. My big order was rushed, and Legacy Icons got it to me a day earlier than I asked for! What Great Service!

  Peaceful and true

  This is a lovely icon which reveals the sacred truth that the LORD GOD is our vine, and those who follow Him are the branches. The colors are vivid and the message clear. A wonderful choice indeed!
