This Russian icon depicts the Lord on the Cross, outside the city of Jerusalem, as the Gospel describes. Below the Cross are the Virgin Mary, St. John, the Myrrhbearers, and St. Longinus the Centurion.
Several saints are also depicted on the borders.

crucifixion icon
I am very happy with this icon. I have bought it for my niece who is getting married this spring. It will be a very inspirational Lenten icon and will serve as a crucifix the rest of the year. I would just like to know who the six figures are on the sides of the icon. If someone could get in touch with me and tell me that information that would be great to pass on to my niece and her husband to be. Thank you so much . Damaged in mail, no response from customer service
This is the second icon we’ve received within a month that was damaged in the mail. Both times, we’ve emailed and received no response. The first time, they finally sent a new icon with a return shipping label for the damaged icon, but the only communication from Legacy was an email with a new tracking number; no message ever acknowledging the problem or letting us know how they fixed it. We weren’t even sure the new tracking number was for the replacement icon. This whole process took about 3 weeks. This second icon, while beautiful, was poorly packaged and mailed in an envelope, not even a box. I emailed asking for a return shipping label, and a week later, I still haven’t even had an acknowledgement of my email. Legacy’s icons are lovely, but we are doing more shopping elsewhere now due to these recent problems and the lack of response from Legacy.
