Our Lord is depicted at His trial, stripped of His clothes and beaten, hands tied, wearing the crown of thorns and holding the reed in His hand.
This icon of Christ is used during the first three days of Holy Week, especially at the Bridegroom Matins services. For this reason, the icon is known as "the Bridegroom." In the Byzantine tradition, this icon is carried in solemn procession while the hymn is sung: "Behold, the Bridegroom comes at midnight..."
This icon was painted by Athanasius Clark.

I have purchased five icons from you now and I'm most pleased by the finish, the particular way you make them, and the iconography. They should last a very long time.
